I build custom because it gives us total control over performance. It is the same tech stack used by Netflix, Uber, and Twitch. However, if your team needs a CMS to blog daily, I can connect a headless CMS (like Sanity) so you get the easy editing interface without the slow frontend performance. I don't enforce lock-in contracts because I don't believe in holding clients hostage. If the site isn't making you money, you should fire me.
