Hey Neighbour 👋

I'm Josh. You probably landed here from WGAC or Bede Carmody Fund.

If you're a non-profit owner that'd rather be out in the field picking up animal 💩 than wrestling with a website, I can help. You focus on changing the world. I’ll make sure people can find you.

I have 10+ years experience building and managing sites for Swinburne, ANZ, Aus. Government and Telstra alongside small business so you're in good hands.

I offer significant discounts to for DGR-registered organisations. Reach out to see how I can help.

Tech That Works
As Hard As You Do.

Charities often get stuck with websites that are slow and broken. I build professional infrastructure that actually helps you scale your impact.

Donor Trust

A fast, professional site signals credibility. If the frontpage to your organisation looks like it was built in 2005, donors will think twice before parting with their hard earnt coins.

Campaign Ready

Need a new landing page for an emergency appeal? Text me. It's done. No waiting for volunteers or agency lead times.

No Tech Debt

I manage the updates, the security, and the performance. You never have to worry about a plugin breaking your donation form again.

A Personal
Note

Look, there'll always be someone who'll offer to do this for next to nothing.

And I know I'm not the right fit for everyone. But if you want a website that you're proud to represent your mission - built by someone who cares about your cause as much as you do - then I'm your guy.

I put my heart and soul into every project because I want to see you succeed. I got into this to help organisations avoid the technical pitfalls and empty promises that I see so many business owners fall for.

Story time!
Client Nightmares

A client I used to help out showed me an estimate once. It was a proposal to redesign his entire site - something that wasn't actually necessary. It didn't explain the benefits or why the work was needed. It was just a high-pressure cash grab, and I told them as much.

They appreciated the honesty, but eventually, they were talked into it by another provider. A while later, they came back to me for help with a legal dispute.

Why? Because the new provider had locked them out of basic and essential features and then demanded they be paid, even though they killed features that should never have stopped working. Not even an offer to help. The client asked for a fair middle ground, the provider just told them to "pay up, get lost, talk to the lawyers."

They ended up paying just to avoid legal action. I had to restore their old version so they could keep running, and they were $20k in the hole with nothing to show for it. Disgusting.

Anyway, rant over. Helping you succeed always comes first. We can worry about the coins later.

My Philosophy: Don't be a dick.

In other words, act in ways that would make your mother proud.

If that's something you can get behind and would like to partner up for some website-y goodness, use that weird form below or just email me. You'll find it on the contact page.

Some things we get asked.

Good to know bits and pieces you may find useful.

To be clear, WordPress isn't the villain; lazy implementation is.

The problem is that 99% of agencies use it to cut corners. They install heavy page builders (Elementor/Divi), bloat it with 50 unmanaged plugins and a shoddy theme, and hand you a site that is slow, insecure, and breaks every time it updates.

I build custom because it gives us total control over performance. It is the same tech stack used by Netflix, Uber, and Twitch. However, if your team needs a CMS to blog daily, I can connect a headless CMS (like Sanity) so you get the easy editing interface without the slow frontend performance. We can explore WordPress too, we'll just do it the right way.

Absolutely not. And you should run from any web developer who offers to.

Never tie your business communications to your website hosting. If the server has a hiccup, your email goes down. If your website gets flagged for spam, your email gets blacklisted.

I can mange this for you with Google or Microsoft depending on your preference. It's secure, enterprise-grade, and stays with you forever, regardless of who builds your website.

No. You wouldn't put a Ferrari engine in a lawnmower.

Modern web applications require modern infrastructure (Edge Networks/Node.js environments). Standard shared hosting from 2012 cannot run this technology.

I deploy to Vercel or AWS global edge networks. This is included in your monthly fee. It ensures your site loads instantly from Sydney to New York, handles traffic spikes automatically, and is virtually unhackable.

This depends entirely on the financial model you select:

  • Outright: You pay the development fee upfront. You own 100% of the code and IP immediately. I hand over the repo keys. You handle maintenance (or pay me a retainer).
  • Site-as-a-service: I retain ownership of the infrastructure. You are paying for the service of having a high-performance digital asset, just like you pay for Office 365, Netflix or your energy bill. You always own your domain and your content (text/images).

*Buyout clauses are always available for Leased plans if you eventually want to take the asset in-house.

If you are on the Leased Model, the website is a service. If you cancel the service, the website comes down at the end of the billing cycle.

Think of it like leasing a commercial office. If you stop paying rent, you don't keep the building, but you do keep your furniture (your content, branding, and domain name).

I don't enforce lock-in contracts because I don't believe in holding clients hostage. If the site isn't making you money, you should fire me.

It means you have a partner, not a billable hour meter.

Included: "Change this text," "Swap this image," "Add a new testimonial," "Post this blog article," "Update our pricing," "Create a new landing page for a promotion."

Not Included: "Rebrand the entire company," "Build a complex software portal," "Add a 500-product e-commerce store."

If it's maintaining and growing the current site, it's included. If it's a completely new project, we quote it separately.

Scenario A: You have 1-10 products (Merch, E-books, specific service packages).
YES. We can integrate Stripe or a simple cart easily.

Scenario B: You are a fashion brand with 500 SKUs, inventory management, and shipping logistics.
NO. You need Shopify.

Do not try to build a massive store on a custom site unless you have a $50k+ budget. I will happily build you a high-performance custom frontend that connects to Shopify, giving you the best of both worlds. Ecom. scoped and priced seperately.

Not on our leased plans. You shouldn't want to.

The value of the "Managed" model is that you never have to log into a CMS again. You have a business to run. You shouldn't be resizing images or wrestling with text alignment at 11 PM.

Just text or email your change. It gets done within 24 hours while you're working on a new service or off sipping beers. Properly optimised, correctly formatted, and without breaking the layout.

Any developer who promises you #1 rankings is lying to you. SEO is a war, not a checklist.

What I provide is a Formula 1 Car. It is technically perfect, fast, and structured exactly how Google wants it (Schema, Core Web Vitals, Semantic HTML).

However, a fast car still needs a driver. To rank #1, you need a strategy (content, backlinks, authority). I build the foundation that makes ranking possible, but simply "launching a website" doesn't guarantee a podium finish.

I do offer a money-back guarantee on leased plans if your site isn't ranked in the first page of Google for specific phrases within a given timeframe. Outright plan? We bill seperately.
